2012 Sales: $50 – $100 Million

Who: Deals exclusively in Texas ranches with an expertise in conservation easements.

Wow: Sold the 34,486-acre Ryan Ranch west of Marfa, where Giant was filmed in the 1950s. The working cattle ranch had been in the same family for over 80 years.

Insights: “The market was soft until October, and then we closed five ranches in three months,” says James King. “The first quarter of 2013 is starting out with a bang.”

Pictured Above: Located in the heart of the Davis Mountains of Far West Texas, these 1,959 acres feature superb high desert grasslands, ideal for nurturing mule deer, aoudad, blue quail, and dove. Ranging in elevation from 5,400 to 6,100 feet above sea level, Bat Cave Ranch offers outstanding views of Mount Livermore and the Chihuahuan Desert.
