Wow: Transactions in 2012 increased 20% over 2011.
Insight: “After a two-year market decline, it was great to see an increase in activity,” says Tom Margo. “After a slow start in 2012, activity picked up in the third and fourth quarters. Increased interest in land as an alternative investment should continue through 2013 as investors and new players seek alternative investment vehicles.”
