Who: J.P. King is exclusively an auction company. This family-run operation is in its fourth generation and specializes in high-end holdings, such as ranches, equestrian properties, and hunting properties.
Where: Headquarters are located in Gadsden, Alabama, but the firm has a national (and international) reach, conducting auctions in all 50 states and in six foreign countries.
Why: J.P. King recently partnered with Mossy Oak Properties to become the sole auction provider for the national real-estate network. It’s also the longest-operating real estate auction firm in the country and has sold over 1 million acres of land in its history.
Wow: It successfully auctioned the Kluge Winery in several tracts, the majority of which were purchased by Donald Trump, for $8 million. It also sold the Madonna Twisselman Ranch for $6.5+ million.
